The National Saxophone Congress is a week-long festival of saxophone music, to be held in Aberdeen from the 5th to the 11th of July 2010.

It’s divided into three thematic sections, all open to the public:

  • Every evening there will be an ensemble performance: some jazz; some popular; some classical; or combinations of all three;
  • There’s a two-day ensemble competition (quartets, octets, choirs etc.) with gold, silver and bronze awards to be won, as well as sponsored prizes and;
  • There's a weekend of saxophone workshops and rehearsals culminating in a public performance of music commissioned especially for the event by massed saxophones (we're looking for at least 150 of you).

If you’d like to register an interest in hearing more about this event please email roy@nsc2010.co.uk
